Welcome to my Costume Portfolio

I specialize in historical and multicultural costume design, combining expert sewing, hand embroidery, leather work, and millinery to create detailed, authentic garments for stage, screen, and exhibition. With skills in fabric sourcing, pattern drafting, and creative problem-solving, I bring craftsmanship, versatility, and a passion for storytelling to every project.

All About Me

I’m a costume designer and maker with a BA in Costume Design and Construction for Stage and Screen from Nottingham Trent University. I’ve always been creative—sketching in my schoolbooks and turning scraps of fabric into outfits for toys. When I received my first sewing machine at 12, everything clicked. I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve built a broad skillset that includes sewing, hand embroidery, leather work, millinery, and accessory-making—like hats, jewellery, and detailed trims. I enjoy the challenge of working with difficult fabrics and have hands-on experience with historical garments such as corsets, kirtles & breeches as well as men’s tailoring.

I’m deeply inspired by history, world cultures, and the power of costume to tell stories. I love researching how clothing reflects identity and era, and I often find myself diving down historical rabbit holes just to get one detail right. My background in realism drawing and coloured pencil work also sharpens my eye for texture and proportion.

What drives me most is character—how someone’s personality, journey, or backstory can be expressed through the cut of a coat or the wear on a boot. My dream is to work in film, collaborating with costume teams to bring characters off the page and onto the screen, with authenticity and heart.
